Disco

The Juniors had a fantastic time at the disco. Well done to Lilah and Oliver who won the spot prizes of the night.

 It was great to see Q bear there dancing with everyone.

What am I?

We had heaps of fun this morning putting together our What am I? writing.
It was great to see so many students researching their animal. Everyone was enthusiastic to share their work and guess their buddies animal.
I will be putting the writing together to make a flip book.

The book has now been completed. Come in and guess the animals the students have written about.

Today I had a flood of children come to me with answers to their wonderings. They then shared this information with the class. Thanks, keep up the good work.

Get Set Go: Hitting a Ball

Today our focus was on hitting a ball. The students used a noodle to push the ball along. They learnt how to hold the noodle correctly and keep control of the ball.
Our focus word today was CONTROL.
Homework: Keep working on right and left. Maybe set up a course around the lounge and get your child to move around it following your instructions. eg turn right, four steps forward etc

Last week I took videos of the children doing the floor routines and we watched them afterwards to see what the children are doing well and what needed improvement.

Alliteration A-Z

We have been learning all about alliteration.
Our goal was to create an alliteration book focusing on animals. It was difficult finding animal names for some letters but we got there.

Everyone looks very serious today. They were balancing bean bag animals on their bodies.
They were also learning opposites, for example right hand on your left knee.
The homework for this week is learn your left and right.
